Do I have to have a UPC code in order to sell my products online?

In the vast majority of cases, a UPC barcode is required in order for vendors to identify products and prevent duplicates in their system.  It is also normal practice is have a unique UPC for each unique product you sell.  As your business grows and you sell across multiple channels (such as on Amazon and at a local retail store), these vendors will ask for your UPC barcode.

You will only need to have UPC codes to sell your products online if the online retailer requires that you have a UPC code, and most do require it.  They are easy to buy at UPCs.com and when you buy from us, they can be used immediately for your products.
