Common questions
I didn’t get my codes. Where are they?
Orders are delivered by email right after payment: a CSV list of your codes plus a ZIP of barcode images (TIFF, JPG, PNG and PDF). If it isn’t in your inbox, check spam or promotions. You can also download everything any time from My Account › Downloads.
How do I get a certificate for my order?
Log in, open My Account › Certificates and click Generate next to your order. The certificate downloads straight away.
Where do I find my invoice?
Go to My Account › Orders, open the order and download the invoice.
I can’t log in to my account.
Your account was created at checkout with the email address you ordered with. Reset your password using that address. Still stuck? Email our team and we’ll get you back in.
Amazon says my UPC doesn’t match my brand (Error 8572 or 5461).
Your codes are valid. Amazon just needs proof that your brand is allowed to use them. Email our team with your order number and the exact brand name you entered in Seller Central. We’ll send you a Letter of Affiliation to attach to a Seller Support case. Read the full guide.
Do my codes expire or have renewal fees?
No. You pay once and the codes are yours for life. There are no annual or renewal fees.
Do I need to register my barcodes?
Yes. Add your product details to each code in My Account › Product Information. We then publish them for you on BarcodeReport.com, the central barcode database we recommend, so your product shows up when someone looks up the code. Retailers and marketplaces also record your code when you list the product with them.
Why does a different company show up when I look up my code?
That’s normal. Prefix lookups such as GEPIR show the company that first held the prefix, not who owns each code today. Your certificate documents that the codes are yours. Learn more.
My codes look like 1.23E+11 in Excel.
That’s just Excel’s number formatting. Select the column, choose Format Cells › Number and set 0 decimal places. Every code is a full, unique number.
Do I need a different code for each product?
Yes. Every unique product or variant needs its own code, so a shirt in 3 colors and 3 sizes needs 9 codes.
What is your refund policy?
